HFHP Co-Hosts Webinar on Intersections of Faith, Sexuality Education, and Local Congregations - September 03, 2014
On August 27th the Healthy Families, Healthy Planet project and the General Board of Church and Society co-hosted a webinar to discuss the connections between our faith values and sexuality related to educational initiatives, practices of ministry, and witnessing on justice issues. Featured speakers included Dr. Kate Ott, Assistant Professor of Christian Ethics at Drew Theological School, and Teresita Matos-Post, pastor of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Warren, New Jersey. Both speakers challenged participants to identify opportunities to promote intentional sexuality education in the life of their congregations and provided key resources for parents and pastors and to do so.
